Week 97 – Alabama Birmingham Mission
Its HOT and its HUMID. I can’t believe its already July and I’m a week a way from starting my last transfer. Where has the time gone?
We have been trying to get to know the members more and help them with their missionary work. And I’m not sure if that’s the reason why so many people have been feeding us but its been crazy. We literally got fed everyday last week, its been good though cause we’ve been able to get to know people on a more personal level.
Abby and Savannah are doing good! We met with them twice this last week with Raksha and they are rad. They even fed us dinner on Saturday!
We were able to have dinner with our branch president on Friday and Aron came so that was cool.
Got in some bashes. One at Chick Fil A after district meeting lol. There was a bible study going on and I walked by and smiled at the guy leading it cause he was staring at me and then he was like “Can you tell me what this scripture means?” and the funny thing is for what he was trying to bash about he used the wrong scripture. I wish people would actually study their Bible, the whole thing, and not just bits and pieces.
Truth is truth, regardless of whether or not someone likes it. Truth doesn’t change. Pilate asked Jesus Christ what is truth? (John 18:38) He didn’t respond then but at a different time he said “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) He also said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) As we come to know the truth we come to know the Father. I testify that the very personification of truth established our church through a prophet of God and that we can know of that truth through the Holy Ghost.
I’m grateful for the Spirit that has testified to me that the Book of Mormon is true and I know that because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and the Lord’s kingdom is once again established on the earth.
