Week 92 – Alabama Birmingham Mission
Man times flying. This week I got my letter from President Sainsbury telling me I have 12 weeks left so give it my all. I can’t believe I’ve been here this long, the time here is starting to wind down. I’ve grown to love Alabama.
We’ve had a pretty good week. We had exchanges with the AP’s, I was with Elder Swainston and we had a good time biking and doing some finding. The humidity was about 90% so I was soaked. All in all it was a good exchange and we actually found a YSA so now he’s our investigator since Hoover is still our area 🙂
We’ve been doing all sorts of finding almost all day everyday. Its so hot and humid and we’ve been saving miles so we’ve been on our bikes a lot. I didn’t know it was possible to sweat so much. And on top of that its been raining on and off all week. We’ve had lots of good gospel conversations with people but we’re having a hard time finding those that are interested in learning more.
We were at railroad park on some guy came galloping through on a horse.
We got invited over to an investigators house for dinner and got there and they had their bibles out on the table and we ate dinner and didn’t even get in a bash.
Landon got the priesthood on Sunday! It was a cool experience some other priests who were baptized within the last year or two were able to stand in and help out with that.
Aron came to church but had to leave early and then he came to a YSA party yesterday.
Things are going pretty good here. We got transfer news last night and so I’ll be staying here with Elder Davis but we’ll be getting a new comp so we’ll be in a trio. Should be interesting!
“He doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.”
