Week 86 – Alabama Birmingham Mission

Montgomery Alabama

I’m getting transferred. 😦 I’ve loved Montgomery so I’m pretty sad to be leaving. I’ve met some great people and made some awesome memories. This place will definitely be missed!

On Tuesday we had exchanges so I was with Elder Cluff. We ate dinner with this older lady and I’m pretty sure her food gave me food poisoning lol.

On Thursday it seemed like people tried extra hard to avoid us.

On Friday Laura, my neighbor from when i was in Clanton took us out to eat. It was a fun little visit.

One day we were walking down a street and a young man came out to the road and started talking to us. He told us that the night before he had prayed for a sign and help with turning his life around. He said we were an answer to his prayer.

We were downtown one night and a drunk guy sees us from the crosswalk and says really loudly “CHOOSE THE RIGHT BRETHREN” and then lifts his shirt up to show us his tattoo. A map of Alabama with each county and then a CTR shield where Montgomery is. and then said “IM A REAL LIFE MORMON.. WELL JACK MORMON.” and then he told us his name and walked off. I got a pic though so you know it really happened

We were downtown another time and were talking to these people and it came out that I was from by Sacramento and then they started asking about the Kings and if I know any of the players and the only player I really thought of was Demarcus Cousins so I said that but that he got traded. Then they asked what I thought about him so I told them about how hes  acry baby and wines all the time. Turns out one of the girls is Demarcus Cousins sister lol.

Wish I had more spiritual things to share haha but maybe next week!

30 But this much I can tell you, that if ye do not watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds, and observe the commandments of God, and continue in the faith of what ye have heard concerning the coming of our Lord, even unto the end of your lives, ye must perish. And now, O man, remember, and perish not.

Mosiah 4:30
