Week 68 – Alabama Birmingham Mission
3100 Lorna Road, Suite 107
Birmingham, AL 35216
It hasn’t been long since I last emailed but a lot has happened.
First off IT SNOWED! and it stuck! It was dope!
Second, we went to the nutcracker. Harley and Audi live with the Villalobos cause they’re pro ballerinas and they got us tickets to come to the show. Neither of them are members so it was a good reason to go.
Third, we did yoga with Sister Millington, the stake presidents wife, Saturday morning.
When it snows everyone freaks out and they don’t know what to do. They closed the freeways haha it might’ve been cause a semi flipped though.
We went to the temple on Thursday and I saw the Voyles from Smithville! It has been over a year since I saw them so it was super cool.
We went out to Tuskegee and met a really nice lady who hasnt been to church in years. We shared the Light the World video with her and she really enjoyed it. It was a nice little visit.
Last night we had the chance to visit a lady in the hospital. She has pneumonia and has been there for a little while. She hopefully got out this morning, but her friend in another part of Alabama wanted us to visit her and give her a blessing. She was really friendly and she’s who you’d call if you wanted to put something on a billboard. We will be visiting her again this week to teach her some more 🙂
Its been a good week out here in Montgomery Alabama. This week is transfers so tonight we will find out if one of us will be getting transferred. I’ll most likely be staying here but we’ll see 🙂
But, behold, they have become like unto the wild olive tree, and they are of no worth but to be hewn down and cast into the fire; and it grieveth me that I should lose them. But what could I have done more in my vineyard? Have I slackened mine hand, that I have not nourished it? Nay, I have nourished it, and I have digged about it, and I have pruned it, and I have dunged it; and I have stretched forth mine hand almost all the day long, and the end draweth nigh.
