Week 66 – Alabama Birmingham Mission

3100 Lorna Road, Suite 107
Birmingham, AL 35216

So some quick updates, we haven’t seen or heard from Tiffany since Saturday so we’re hoping she’s just been busy.

For thanksgiving we ate with Sister Wright. She’s a nice lady who lives in an assisted living type place and had cooked us a nice meal. She kept telling us how she’d be sad if we weren’t there cause she’d be eating all alone. While passing the gravy she said “Make sure to scoop from the bottom so you get the chitlins!” Haha yum chitlins!

In Alabama this week is one of the busiest of the year. On Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving. On Friday black Friday, people in Alabama love free stuff. On Saturday the Iron Bowl. Football is a huge deal here and Alabama vs Auburn is probably a bigger deal than Christmas. Everyone had been talking about it for weeks and now the Auburn fans won’t stop talking about it. Hopefully Alabama plays Auburn for the national championship. Roll tide!

I’m grateful to be in Alabama and to be serving the Lord. I’m grateful for the people here and for all they’ve taught me.
