“They’re darker than us!”

Week 64 – Alabama Birmingham Mission

3100 Lorna Road, Suite 107
Birmingham, AL 35216

This week was good. We had zone conference. It was centered on the love of God and was a good one. We were there at 7 AM to help setup and didn’t leave until almost 6 PM cause we had to stay so we could lock the building. Long tiring day!

We get quiet a bit of media referrals, people requesting free bibles, so we spend a lot of time hunting those people down and end up spending a lot of time driving to the different areas of Montgomery.

We weren’t able to meet with Tiffany this week. We seemed to always just miss her and she doesn’t have a cell phone right now. She moved to a new place this week and called us to tell us her new address so this week we’ll hopefully get back in contact with her.

We had a dinner appointment out in Tuskegee with Sister Hogue. She’s a super nice black lady and had a couple other people over as well. Halfway through dinner she put some extra rolls in the oven. While we were saying bye she remembered the rolls she had put in the oven and ran over and opened the oven and then turned to the other people that were there and said, “They’re darker than us!”

Met with a guy at mcdonalds last night and got into a big bash. Man bashing is so frustrating. I know I shouldn’t but I can’t just sit there and let someone tell me what I believe is wrong. So we got into it haha but just like all bashes it doesn’t ever go anywhere. And then he texted us a bunch of anti after. Gotta love the South!

3 And because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible.

2 Nephi 29:3

Love you guys!
