Week 53 – Alabama Birmingham Mission

801 Trilliam Ln

Clanton AL 35045

This week we had the chance to be trained by Elder Christensen of the Presidency of the 70. It was a great meeting. He talked about the Spirit and how it works and how it can help us. It was probably my favorite zone conference yet.

We had two exchanges this week,

The first was with the Pratville elders so we spent a day in Pratville. I was with Elder Canty. It was a fun exchange. Pratville is a good place.

The second was with Elder Schrubb here in Clanton. That was a really good one! We talked to so many people. We met this lady who was celebrating her 40th birthday and invited us to go up and get some food and then we got a bunch of free food. Everyone was drunk but her husband was completely sober. He talked to us and gave us his address and told us to stop by. We stopped by the next day and they’re both really nice people. Hopefully we can start teaching them. Also on Saturday there’s this Christian concert thing called EnFuego thats been going on every year for over 20 years and we went. It was pretty cool. We met some members from Ozark and talked to a bunch of other people, only got bashed by two ladies!

Keith and Tocarra didn’t come to church this week. She accidentally fell asleep when she got home from work but they want to come next week.

I spoke in church yesterday and went up with nothing written down and ended up talking about service, scripture study, and something else I can’t remember. It went pretty well I think!

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelation 3:20
