Week 43 – Alabama Birmingham Mission
800 Energy Center Blvd Apt. 205
Northport, AL 35473
Things are heating up here in Alabama. It gets so hot and humid its terrible. I can’t complain though cause we have a car.
Last week we helped the Wrights put together a swing set and they had us over for dinner this week. The wife is a member but the husband is not. They have 3 little kids and they’re a really nice family. Brother Wright has a modified Volvo and took us out for a ride. His front seat is stuck pushed all the way up so Elder Honn was squashed up against the dash in the front seat. It was a fun little cruise.
One of our goals here is to try to make Alabama look as fun and cool as our friends foreign missions. It’s hard cause everything here looks the exact same. Everywhere you look there’s only trees!
We don’t have many people to work with right now but we’re working on finding more. Which makes for a lot of long days and this is often how we feel.
There’s been some storms that have passed through the last couple days. Nothing too crazy just lots of rain.
And fathers day was yesterday so the ward had lots of brownies, cookies, and cake for the fathers.. and men.. and children.. But thankfully a prayer was said for the food to “nourish and strengthen our bodies”
Happy Father’s Day! I love my dad!
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.
