The Story of Archibald

Week 42 – Alabama Birmingham Mission

Last Monday Brother Foote took our zone on a tour of the University of Alabama Stadium.

We had exchanges so the 3 of us went up to Inverness Wednesday-Thursday. During lunch Elder Honn went exploring the pond next to their apartment and rescued a baby duck that had been left behind.

Once rescued he attempted to deliver it back to the flock.. which did not end well. (the mom attacked it)

Mama Honn stepped in and put it under his wing. It was then that he named him Archibald.

After much consideration it was decided that we would check the internet for a solution.

The internet led to no reasonable solutions. So the vote was taken and it was decided the only option was to release him back into the wild where he would inevitably die.

RIP little guy

Other pictures from the week:

We don’t have anyone to teach so we’re working on getting more people in our teaching pool. Hopefully things start to pick up.

I finished the Book of Mormon again this week. While reading the final chapter this verse stuck out to me.

27 And I exhort you to remember these things; for the time speedily cometh that ye shall know that I lie not, for ye shall see me at the bar of God; and the Lord God will say unto you: Did I not declare my words unto you, which were written by this man, like as one crying from the dead, yea, even as one speaking out of the dust?

-Moroni 10:27

Love you guys
