Week 26 – Alabama Birmingham Mission
So I will be staying here in Starkville but I’ll be getting a new companion. His name is Elder Collins, I’ve never met him but it should be good, I’m excited! Sister Cullimore is leaving but the Sister Hidalgo will be staying here.
I guess every year there’s this group that comes to Mississippi State and preaches hellfire and damnation in the middle of campus. They literally stand in a fence to protect themselves and get everyone fired up by telling them they’re going to hell for the most ridiculous things and after we were talking to someone one of them came over and told them that Mormons don’t believe in Jesus. And while we were talking to a girl, after he said he hadn’t sinned in 20 years, he said, “You have your work cut out for you with this one” pointing at the girl. All this while holding the King James Version of the Bible.. Twisted!
A guy named Matt, he just got back from his mission in Argentina, took us out to a place called Oby’s. I got alligator! It was good the closest thing to compare it to is chicken cause everything tastes like chicken.
I got some things for Valentines day thanks Taylor’s and my family 🙂
Thanks for the late bday present Alex. Love the shirt!
We had a great lesson with Ashley from Denny’s and she prayed out loud for the first time since she was a little girl.
Anderson, one of the Conner’s boys wants to be baptized so we have a date set for him on the 16th of March!
A guy named MJ (20’s) who came to church with a member a couple weeks ago while visiting, and we taught him two lessons and one over skype, he has a bap date for the beginning of March. Sadly he doesn’t live in our mission so we’re not the ones teaching him but he was so ready and prepared when he came to church!
14 And thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the light of Christ unto life.
