MLK

I decided I’d start posting about my mission on here so I’ll be sharing my weekly experiences and updates about what’s going on in my life.

So to start I’m Elder Furgeson. I’ve been out on my mission a little over 5 months now. My mission is the Alabama Birmingham Mission. For the first 3 months I was in Fulton, Mississippi and now I’m in Starkville, Mississippi and have been here about 7 weeks. Starkville is where Mississippi State is so there’s a lot going on and it’s a busy college town. My companion is Elder Prestwich. He’s from Washington and is a really nice guy.

On Monday for MLK day we went to a cool service activity at Mississippi State. They had a nice breakfast and some people spoke, then we got on buses and there were a bunch of different places they went to do different service. We ended up at a scoutcamp, it was my first time at scoutcamp. We moved sticks. Sounds lame but it was fun.

Elder Prestwich got the flu so we spent a couple days resting. The rest of the week is kind of a blur. We had some storms come through and more tornado watches but nothing too carzy. We had dinner at the Conners again, they’re awesome!

Galatians 2:20  “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Never forget about He who gave himself for you.

Love, Elder Furgeson
